Is this the first piece that Edvard Munch did on same sex attraction? Both subjects seem to be female with long hair and what seems to be two flowers embedded in the hair of each subject. Obviously both persons are about to kiss yet we are unsure about the sex of the person on the right. This scene is very erotic yet holds a sense of innocence and experimentation.
