Brings a little colour to the situation...
Why do men hate women so much? We try to be loving nurturers and passionate people, but men have such tempers! This is what Munch's "vampire" orchestrates to me. Men drain the life from us women and cause us pain and heartache, nonetheless, we allow them to feed off us and we go back for more...

Perfect Portrayal Of Love And Pain
I first saw the picture in Toronto and was desperate to get a print of it. I eventually got one as a Christmas present from a woman with whom I have an incredibly difficult but ultimately essential relationship. I told her I felt the picture portrayed us perfectly. I was only half joking. It's a beautiful and bleak portrayal of two desperately needy beings.
